We just found out that Representative Tom Emmer officially introduced a horrible bill that singles out Minnesota as being unworthy of the fundamental environmental protections afforded to the rest of the country and directly puts the Boundary Waters at risk from sulfide-ore copper mining along lakes and rivers that flow into the Wilderness. The bill is also co-sponsored by Minnesota Congressmen Collin Peterson and Jason Lewis.
The Boundary Waters needs your help right away. Please call your Representative right away and tell them you are opposed to this bill and want to see the Boundary Waters protected, not put at risk from sulfide-ore copper mining.
