On September 23rd, 2015 my wife, Amy Freeman, and I embarked on a yearlong adventure in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness to protect the Boundary Waters from proposed sulfide-ore copper mining on the Wilderness edge, and to teach people about the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. During 366 in the Wilderness we travel more than 2,000 miles by canoe and dog team as we explore more than 500 lakes and streams throughout the year. We shared our adventure through regular blog posts on a variety of websites as well as social media.

So much respect for what have done Dave and Amy to spend the year in the wilderness. I’ll spend a week in the wilderness and it leaves such an impact om me. A year in the wilderness through all 4 seasons would be life changing, (even staying in the tent while it is -24F) outside.
Love the quote shared in the video “stripping away clutter and reveals life essence, stillness, simplicity, friendship, love”. Sadly the demands of our consumer driven society puts so many demands on our resources.
Sincerely hope this will continue to make an impact. Thankful for people such as governor Mark Dayton.
