Our campsite includes a massive rock covered in lichen that juts into the water facing down the South Kawishiwi River. It is a wonderful place to while away the afternoon, but I can’t shake the fact that Twin Metals is trying to build a giant copper mine in a sulfide ore body less than 2 miles from this very spot. It’s just not worth risk. #boundarywaters #savetheboundarywaters #onlyinmn #wilderness #minnesota #kawishiwi
