Last year we were alone in the Wilderness on #thanksgiving . This year we are #thankful to celebrate with family. Look! Amy’s first turkey! Now its up to me to carve it. I am hoping its like filleting a Walleye.

Our#wildernessyear to #savetheBWCA presentation at @midwest_mountaineering starts in 20 minutes and it looks like it will be a packed house!

In May Jerry Vandiver and Eric Frost started writing This Quiet Place as a tribute to the Boundary Waters and a way to support our collective efforts to protect this national treasure. Jerry, Eric and Amberly Rosen (Jerry’s fiddle player) paddled into the Wilderness to join Amy and me for a few days during our #WildernessYear to #savetheBWCA. We finished writing the song together and then Jerry and Amberly recorded the song in a Nashville studio.

We have been on the road screening #BearWitness, the short film @ducttapethenbeer made about our #wildernessyear to #savetheBWCA . Last night @fontanasports in Madison, WI was packed and we are expecting another packed house tonight at @patagoniastpaul 7-9 pm . Come on out and help @savethebwca !
