Dave cross-training at @giantsridge … We’re embracing the fact that winter just #cantstopwontstop in the northwoods. Looks like our first few days of #pedaltodc will be a bit chilly (and snowy). The adventure begins in under 2 weeks! #onlyinmn
Our Pedal to DC #kickstarter campaign is live! There are a ton of great rewards, which will help us bring our book and the importance of protecting the Boundary Waters to thousands of people across the country during our 2 month, 9 state, 2,000 mile bike tour to #savethebwca . We start pedaling to DC on April 20th and we need your help. Follow the link in our bio to check out our kickstarter rewards and watch our new video. Please help us share this widely!
The temp edged above freezing and the sun came out this afternoon so we hopped on our bikes for a 20 mile training ride along Lake Superior. #PedaltoDC starts in less than 3 weeks so we are trying to put as many miles under our tires as we can! #savetheBWCA
We’ve changed our minds… we’re going to skijor to Washington D.C. instead of bicycle!Winter seems to be hanging on this year, so we’re going to take a cue from the weather. Sure it’ll get a little difficult in urban areas, but we’re always up for a challenge. #aprilfools #savethebwca
With less than a month to go before we begin our 1,750 mile bike/book tour from Ely to Washington DC on April 20th we are busy putting miles under our tires. Riding in traffic while towing a canoe will take awhile to get used to. I am still nervious I will forget the canoe is behind me and clip a parked car, but we are getting more comfortable with our @surlybikes Disc Truckers with every ride and towing the canoe will get easier as the miles roll by. We are adding more tour stops all the time so follow think in our bio to find an event near you and learn more about #PedaltoDC #rideloaded #savethebwca #ayearinthewilderness Thanks for the photo @piragi !
With less than a month to go before we begin our 1,750 mile bike/book tour from Ely to Washington DC on April 20th we are busy putting miles under our tires. Yesterday we tried towing a canoe for the first time. You feel it on hills, but that’s a small price to pay for a 14 1/2 foot symbolic petition that is sure to grab peoples attention.
