Reps. Tom Emmer and Rick Nolan just introduced an amendment that would cut funding for the environmental study of sulfide-ore mining in the watershed of the Boundary Waters. This amendment would kill the scientific study and shut out hundreds of thousands of Americans voices from weighing in on the fate of the Boundary Waters. This amendment will be voted on this evening. Please call your Representative now asking him or her to vote no on Amendment #70 from Reps. Emmer and Nolan to the Interior Environment Appropriations bill. Call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 to be connected to your Representative.
