Today was our last full day with students and teachers from Rauner College Prep’s Wilderness Club. They brought us some supplies and spent five days paddling, portaging, and camping with us. This is their fifth summer in a row joining us in the Wilderness and we’re already looking forward to their visit next summer. We spent a long time jumping and swimming off the sun-soaked rocks before making our way to Alton Lake. On Alton we rafted up and the people on the outside paddled and steered as the wind slowly helped us along. Laughing, talking, smiling, what a great way to end our last day together.
